Fields Carpet 200x300cm

The Fields Carpet 200x300cm has been created by Lena Bergström for the brand Design House Stockholm. Bergström is a Swedish designer who specialises in glass and textiles. Fields represents an attempt to evoke the image of agricultural fields seen from the air. Imaginatively conceived, it features an appealing interplay of grey tones and textures, echoing the complex appearance of the natural world.

The Fields Carpet 200x300cm has a rectangular shape and measures 300cm long by 200cm wide. It has three main colour blocks, all of which feature subtle tones of grey and are made from 100% wool. However, the blocks aren't monotonous. By using a clever weaving technique, Bergström has conjured up a delightful mottled effect to add richness to interior spaces and complement wooden floors beautifully.

The edges of the Fields Carpet 200x300cm feature leather elements, adding extra toughness while rounding off the design elegantly. The toughness of the carpet is also enhanced by the use of wool featuring natural oils that will keep it soft and bright for long periods. The carpet is suitable for rolling and is also light enough to handle comfortably at just 7kg. Ideal for living rooms or bedrooms, it adds a natural accent that will stand the test of time.
